Attorney Earl Ormond worked as a police officer in the city of Stamford for 21 years before retiring from service as a Sergeant in 2005. As a member of the Stamford Police Department, he piloted the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in several Stamford elementary schools and was recognized by U.S. Congressman Christopher Shays for his efforts in the war against drugs. While working as a sergeant, Attorney Ormond served primarily as a patrol supervisor in the uniform division.
Earl received his legal education from Quinnipiac University School of Law (J.D.) where his academic performance earned him membership in the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and he received distinguished academic honors in Trial Practice. Attorney Ormond also holds a Masters Degree in Education from Sacred Heart University and did his undergraduate work at Southern Connecticut State University.
Attorney Ormond served as in-house counsel at Amphenol Corporation between 2000 and 2005. At Amphenol Attorney Ormond worked extensively on international contract law, real estate transactions, and employment law. In addition to representing Amphenol in employment discrimination lawsuits, he also provided Sarbanes- Oxley updates to Amphenol divisions nationwide.
Attorney Ormond worked at Dreier LLP, a Park Avenue law firm from 2005 to 2008, and opened their first satellite office in Stamford, Connecticut. At Dreier, Attorney Ormond was part of the commercial litigation group, specializing in complex federal litigation, commercial business litigation, and security industry disputes. Attorney Ormond was an integral part of the legal team that single handedly pursued a $280 million dollar lawsuit against 6 major law firms on behalf of the founders of ClickRadio.
